(And yes, technically in the game you could have body designs with longer wheelbases than actual bodies. The exception is if the vehicle is smaller than the chassis wheelbase/track*1.2, then the body dimensions will be scaled to I believe 20% more than the wheelbase/track. If you used a pre-designed body, then it is using the stats generated from whoever made the premade. If you designed the vehicle body to be larger, it will weigh more, etc. So a 4 foot overhang is not uncommon from the wheelbase.īoth physical dimensions and additional weights are based off the vehicle body design. The chassis sizes are for wheelbase and track, not the overall size of the chassis. Not sure when changes were made but when I played previously using roughly the same components and body I could easily make the car under 1000 lbs and keep it's length and width to barely larger than the frame used which is expected from looking at the artwork which shows an open wheeled car with those wheels pushed to the 4 corners of the car and unless you lengthen the hood and rear bumper all bodywork is inside those 4 wheels. Getting about the performance I expected however for some reason the car ended up being over 115" long (thats nearly 4 fet of overhang on a 6 foot long chassis) and weighing in at a whopping 1313 lbs (thats 737 lbs for bodywork/interior whatever.) Made the body as small and lightweight as I could for maximum performance (car will be used in racing). So total component weight is less than 600 lbs. Designed my first sports car and am a bit surprised at the size and weight of it.ġ900 start so AuCar is only cody available for sports cars.
